Sadie Ash, CPA, MSA, Owner
In June 2016, I embarked on the next leg of my career and started my own practice in my hometown of Milaca, MN. It has been nothing short of a whirlwind, since. This past January marked the start of my 17th tax season! I am so proud to serve families and businesses in my community and in our extended communities. I am passionate about helping business owners and individuals become confident with their finances, make wise financial decisions, bring their goals to life, become debt free, celebrate milestones, and of course, be strategic from a tax perspective.
I also enjoy serving as the clerk for the Milaca Township, Treasurer for the Milaca Scholarship Foundation and as a Board of Director at First National Bank of Milaca. When I am not busy helping clients, you can find me spending time with my friends and family, spoiling my nieces and nephews, running, traveling with my husband or hiking.
Brianna Hoskins, Administrative Assistant, Bookkeeping & Payroll Specialist
Brianna has been working at SE Hemmerich Tax and Accounting since November of 2016. She assists with administrative tasks, processing payroll for clients, bookkeeping, and tax preparation. In Brianna’s free time, she loves spending time with her family and gardening.
Mike Utz, Accountant
Mike joined the firm in August 2024 and has over 30 years of experience. He has extensive experience working with clients in the construction and heavy highway industries. Mike serves our individual and business clients as a tax strategist, advisor and reviewer. We are thrilled to have his expertise and knowledge available for our team & our clients!
Katie Snyder, Accountant
Katie joined the firm in January 2022 and has over 20 years of experience. She works with individual and business clients with tax preparation and planning as well as assists with monthly bookkeeping. Katie has been an excellent addition to our team!
Liz Rahm, Bookkeeping Specialist
Liz has recently returned to the firm in September 2024 after completing a summer internship at the Corporate Coborn’s location in St. Cloud, MN this past summer. She originally starting with at SE Hemmerich Tax in June of 2022 and is starting her third year at St. Cloud State. At St. Cloud State she is involved in the honors program and investment club. Liz loves being outside and spending time with family and friends. At SE Hemmerich Tax and Accounting, she enjoys being able to apply what she is learning in school to real clients and situations while serving the community where she has lived her whole life. We are ecstatic to have Liz back on the team!
Angie Alkire, Bookkeeping & Payroll Specialist
Angie joined our team in June 2023. She has 30 years of business ownership experience that she hopes to share with other small town, small business owners. She truly believes the relationship between business owners and individuals alike, and their accounting team is vital to business and individual financial success and security. Angie will be performing general monthly bookkeeping for clients as well as payroll tax deposits and payroll tax filings. Outside of work, Angie enjoys flower gardening, walks in the woods, and the lake. The end of the dock in the sun is her “happy place”.
Katie Habeck, Bookkeeping Specialist
Katie joined our team in October 2024. She performs monthly bookkeeping for our clients, prepares individual income tax returns and manages our electronic work environment! In addition to working at SE Hemmerich Tax, she is also taking accounting classes at Central Lakes College in Brainerd and has a bookkeeping internship with a nonprofit organization in the Brainerd area.
